The Plasencia El Año del Caballo (Year of the Horse) combines a commanding 7 x 58 Parejo Gordo format with one of the most distinctive finishes in the Plasencia lineup: a hand-braided tobacco tail inspired by a horse's mane.
The blend features an organic Nicaraguan wrapper grown in Jalapa, a Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan and Honduran filler tobaccos. Plasencia's official tasting profile develops through oak, earthy soil and cumin, followed by cardamom, dark coffee and toasted walnut, and finishing with dark chocolate, prune and a touch of peat.
What makes it special: The braided finish is an intricate piece of craftsmanship requiring three artisans to complete each cigar. Production was limited to just 6,000 boxes of 10 cigars worldwide, giving this release genuine collector appeal.
