Description
A hard-to-find Connecticut Broadleaf release with serious small-batch credentials.
The Cavalier Genève Project Broadleaf Boartamer was the second release in Cavalier's Project Broadleaf series, created to showcase the depth and versatility of premium Connecticut Broadleaf. The original release was produced in an exceptionally small run and is no longer part of Cavalier's 2026 Project Broadleaf lineup.
The blend pairs a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with a Jalapa binder and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua. The Broadleaf underwent roughly 3 to 3½ years of fermentation, followed by additional resting between fermentation stages, giving the wrapper added maturity and richness.
Flavor profile: Expect a dark, earthy core with cocoa, cedar, toasted wood, caramel, baking spice and pepper. The cigar is generally described as medium to full, with the Broadleaf bringing natural sweetness and depth.
Why it's special: Only 500 bundles of 10 cigars were produced for the original release. That puts the Boartamer firmly in the small-batch category and makes remaining inventory particularly interesting to collectors and Broadleaf fans.
The format: The 5¼ x 52 Robusto Extra offers a substantial smoke without the oversized footprint of a larger vitola, keeping the Broadleaf-driven profile concentrated and flavorful.
Stogies Says: If Connecticut Broadleaf is your thing, this is the kind of cigar you grab when you see it. It's dark, rich, limited, and increasingly difficult to replace. At $69.99 for five or $135 for ten, it's an easy way to stock up on a boutique release before the remaining supply disappears.
